Carol,

SSL encryption has been around since the mid 90s. It's short for
Secure Sockets Layer and is the standard form of encryption used by many
online retailers across the Internet.

Léonie.

Subject: [access-uk] SSL INCRIPTION

Hi all,

On various lists, folk (particularly in the States) have been commenting
about SSL incription. Does anyone know if it's probably going to be used
over here as well and, in addition, has anyone heard of any ISP's that have
already stated they're going that route?
