On George's note, I have two Sony ICD digital voice recorders with a foot
pedal for transcription use and the driver does not support 64bit. Their
site only has 32bit for Vista. not good!

Mike

Speaking from a technical support point of view, we do not appear to be
getting many calls from 64 bit users with anything other than the usual "How
do I ???! questions which apply regardless of system.

Overall, 64 bit systems are far more responsive, and more and more are
appearing. I don't think it will be too long before 64 bit is pretty well
the standard. The only down side is with older peripherals such as printers
where they are barely capable of running in XP or Vista anyway, and probably
not long due to meet their make anyway.

George.

Are there many people here using 64 bit systems?

IF so, are you finding they work better and are more stable with jaws?

Thanks

Hi Eleanor,

You could hit Windows Key + Pause to bring up the System Screen. It'll tell
you on that screen. You can also see this by right clicking on Computer and
clicking Manage.

Cheers,

Barry

I have 2 laptops both with Win 7 Home Premium, I know definitely that
one is 64-bit. Now how would I know if the other one is 32-bit or 64 bit
please?

Eleanor
