Hi Andrew,
Yes, I see that. I'll have to sort that out.
Thanks.
Peter

Hi Peter,

Slightly off topic, but your messages are coming in as spam to me because of
an issue with the date - you are set to a different timezone than GMT (UK),
but have the UK time set, which is tripping my local spam software on my
server.

Thanks.
Andrew.

        Hi Steve,
RadioTimes does much of what you say Digi Guide does. But Radio Times
charges you 25 pence for any notification.
Does Digi Guide charge you 25 pence for the email notification of upcoming
programs? I like this option, but I think such a charge is a bit much.
Peter

Hi Peter,

It is heaps better than Radio Times, and well worth the money in my opinion.

First, you can set up your own personal favourite channels, and only monitor
those.

Second, you can synchronise it to a Pocket device, it works with the PacMate
and any device running with Mobilespeak Pocket for example, then use Avantgo
to read your personal TV Times on the go.

Third, you can do keyword searches, and put them into favourites. For
example, if you add "The Archers" to your keyword searches, then when you
look at your personal what's on, it will show it every time. You can even
restrict keyword searches to selected channels.

Fourth, you can set it up to Email you 15 minutes before your favourite
shows are coming on. These are only the shows you add to favourites, and if
you set it up right, you can even get it to send you an SMS to your phone,
when your show is coming on.

And if that's not enough, you can even search the TV library for actors, new
shows, or anything about the shows, that you don't get from Radio Times.

So yes, it does make these little web sites especially for audio described
listings look rather silly <Smile>.

All the best

Hi Steve,
That Digi guide really is impressive. And its only eight ninety nine per
year. Probably well worth it if its better than Radio Times.
Peter

Hi Husna,

I beg to differ here. You have always been able to search for Audio
Described stuff on the digiguide web site http://www.mydigiguide.com.
You
can search for up to two weeks' worth. Just put "Audio described"
without
the quotes into the search box, and they will all come up. So no-one can
say this is the first official web site.

official audio description listings website

Hi,

The RNIB Broadcasting and Talking Images Team is working with the BBC on a
project to enable users of the website radiotimes.com to search for
programmes that are audio-described. This will be the first ever official
website with comprehensive listings that offers this search functionality.

We are now seeking blind and partially sighted volunteers who have internet
access to test the website and its new functionality and to give us their
users comments. Testing will be required towards the end of this month.
The
BBC will supply test web addresses to those taking part and they will be
able to try out the searches on live listings on the site. Responses will be
collated and influence the development of the project.

If you are interested in participating in this project, then please send
your name and e-mail address to Caroline Taylor on
Caroline.Taylor@xxxxxxxxxxx by 15 January.

Thank you

Leen Petre
