[access-uk] SOME LAPTOP QUESTIONS

I've just been given a new HP laptop for work. It's running Jaws 8.
Along the top of the keyboard is a strip containing some controls which
are not identifiable by touch but are just marked with visual symbols.
If I use clear adhesive plastic with Braille on to mark them, will this
cause any problems with them spontaneously activating or prevent them
from activating at all? Next a Jaws related one. Currently I've
maintained the keyboard setting as Desktop because this laptop has an
insert key which, in that mode continues to work as the jaws key which
is what I'm used to. Is this likely to bring me any difficulties?
With thanks.

Ian
