No! The only way there is an additional charge is if you attempt to watch a box office movie. The PIN protected films are usually those that have a 15 or 18 certificate and are being shown before the watershed time, generally 8.00 p.m. or 10.00p.m. respectively. Sky tend to show them at earlier times of day and, obviously if you have Sky + you can watch them at anytime you like, but you have to enter your PIN if you watch any of these films before the watershed times.

Hi Tony.

If after subscribing to the movie channels, they still require a pin number for some movies, can this mean that there is an additional charge, for watching these ones?

Best wishes.
Andy

Andy

I think it means that to watch that particular programme at that particular time you are going to have to insert your pin number. This number would be set up in your Sky box when it was installed.

Hi all.

I'm thinking of subscribing to the SKY Movies Channels. I've been checking out which of the movies that are on today are Audio Described. However, occasionally, there is a statement on the list saying, for example: 13.00 PIN PROTECTED SLOT: BRIDGET JONES: THE EDGE OF REASON Can anyone tell me what Pin Protected Slot means please?

Best wishes.
Andy
