If you register you can download the SendSpace Wizard so you can use SendSpace without having to go to their Website. Also, if you get a paid account you can store files at SendSpace.

Hi Carol

I have just successfully sent a test file to myself.

Frirst of all, select the file to be sent.

Next edit box is for a description.

Next edit box is for the recipient's e-mail address.

The recipient will receive an e-mail specifying the download link.

Next edit box is for your own e-mail address.

It does say optional, but apparently it is necessary.

Next, check the checkbox for terms and conditions.

Finally, tab to the upload button.

You don't have to register. It does state the advantages but I can't remember them offhand.

There is no time specified for holding the file. It just says for a limited time.

Regards

Gordon Atkinson

Hi all,

I haven't used SENDSPACE for a little while now and it seems to have changed, or maybe I've forgotten anything I ever knew.

Am I right in that you don't have to register, though there are benefits to doing so?

Do they notify the person specified by their email address of a pending file, or should I have seen a link to send to a friend? (I didn't see one and wonder now where my file has got to.)

Finally, I didn't see anything written about the length of time a file is kept by them and how, if at all, you can remove it if you haven't registered. I'd be interested in any information you may have on this.

Thanks.
