Jon, hahaha, sorry, that's the auto correct in the iPhone taking charge of
things I'm afraid! Still, you got the idea!

Cheers all,

Ha!

I'm going to make 2 guesses here.
1. You voice dictate.
2. You meant SD not sexy?!

Gave me a chuckle anyway.. Here's what you wrote...

You got me intrigued - it looks like you CAN force it to fat32, but it

I found a post on the Sandisk forum, first the link to the post, and
then the rest of this post is the relevant info from that post. Good
luck, hope this helps:

"First I had to obtain a card reader compatible with SDXC.. Then I
used HDGuru to give it a complete low level format. Finally I used
Fat32Format, in its command line version, and prayed.
It worked just fine and dandy."

Jon, thanks, but that then brings up another question.

I want to use the 64gb card in a Sansa Clip Zip mp3 player which I should
be
able to do, but it does not recognise it formatted in exfat. If I cannot
format it down to fat32 as the current 16gb card in it is, Iwonder how I
get
it to work in the thing?!

Smile;  these things are sent to try us.

You can't - from the user guide:

"Any SD card larger than 32GB is an SDXC card and has to be formatted
with the exFAT filesystem.
This means the official SD Formatter tool will always format cards
that are 64GB or larger as exFAT."

Could someone recommend a micro SD card formatting utility which I can

I have tried SDFormatter but I cannot change it from Exfat to Fat32 with
that.
