Caroline, maybe you've had one or two responses off-list, and I hope so as I
don't know the
answer really to this card question.

Just wondering though, are cards of the same make? Some hardware, certainly
audio
recorders, just don't get on with all makes of card, and maybe the same goes
for card
readers too.

Then again, it could be an issue with the particular card reader, and from what
you say,
this might be the case. A 2GB card shouldn't tax it as that's often the upper
limit for
most devices, although I hear the Plexter PTR2 handles 4GB cards quite well.

Think I and others will be interested if you find the solution to this card
problem of
yours.

Hello,

I have two SD cards of 64 mb and 2 gb capacity. When I put the smaller card
into my card reader, I can see the files on it and transfer them off the
card with no problems at all, but when I put the larger card in the card
reader, I only get the message asking me to insert a disk into the drive.
Somehow the card reader is not seeing the larger card, even though both
cards are formatted and work perfectly well when not in the card reader.

Has anyone come across a similar problem to this? I'm wondering if my card
reader is incapable of reading a card as large as 2 gb and whether I need to
get a different one.

Thanks,

Caroline.
