I know they are not infallible, but they make a pretty good job of it to my
mind. I have had no problems so far with hardware helper, and after
registration, the thing goes to menu driven rather than mouse driven commands,
which is also wonderful.

Thanks for this, I like it. It only found one driver for me that was older
than the one I already had installed. But it now says it's installed when I
said no to installing its newer driver, so all is happy again.
These driver helpers are not infallible though.
