Disconnect the 56k analogue modem for when you really need from the wall socket
and the dailler cannot hurt your finances then let you AV spyware detectors do
their thing.

Subject: [access-uk] Rogue Dialers with a broadband connection

Hi, is it the case that rogue dialers can't hijack your net connection and
rack up huge phone bills if you've got an ADSL connection and don't have a 56K
modem connected to the phone line? I just did an online scan for threats on
the Symantec site which detected dialer.generic on my system but am I right
that it doesn't really matter because of the ADSL connection?...cheers
