Tony,

the thing is though Andy has not proven the machine arrived in a state, and
has not proceeded down the legal route and/or provided evidence other than
word of mouth that this has happened.

It would create the type of anarchy we see now before us if this was
tolorated. I.E. Slanging matches.

Also as we are in the UK Libel and Slander Laws can be very sticky.

We have companies as well as end-users on this list which could get quite
uncomfortable and make judgements on an individual or a company if things
were just left uncontrolled.

As I have already pointed out the last word I heard from Andy was last
evening when he did say, and I've got the emails here to prove this, that he
had no intention in contacting Police or Microsoft. It was threats.

Now I've stated this topic was closed but people are still posting on it.
Essentially flonting a list moderators request.

Let me say, we are not against people saying they had bad service from X Y Z
but it should be sent to the moderator address prior to posting as we do
need to be careful with how it's worded.

Andy's mail was not an I am concerned email and I am not viewing it as so.
it was a vicious outburst from someone who's angry and blowing off steam in
form of a flame.

I am not in the slightest unsympathetic but I will not allow one mans
outbursts and rudeness to mar the good name of this list.

Barry.

Must go now justt in case I am!!

Subject: [access-uk] Resolution to recent dispute between Mr Logue & Mr
Grunshaw responce

Dear Barry and list members.

Barry, there has not been a resolution to this matter, and you know this
fine as we have been in communication with each other today. I have not
dropped my case against Mr. Grimshaw, so I don't understand why you seem to
be covering everything up like this and telling the Re-cycle list members
that all is fine now.

As you know Barry, things are far from fine. The Activation Key for the
computer that I purchased from Mr. Grunshaw is indeed illegal. Microsoft
confirmed this by phone today and I've already conveyed this information to
you.

In your message to the list, it sounds as though .

I was the culprit here. I've had to cool down you said. Of course I'm very

angry Barry and I'm more angry now to see that you are brushing the whole
thing under the carpet.

I did not state at any time that I was dropping my case against this guy,
indeed, I confirmed this to you as recently as last evening.

I am the victim here. I purchased a computer from this guy, who provided a
copy of the operating system and an illegal activation key. The engineer
who had to repair the computer on it's arrival, reinstalled the software and

immediately, Microsoft picked this up. Subsequently, every time I boot this

computer up, I am being told by Microsoft that I have been the victim of
fraud and I'm taken to their site, in order to purchase a legal OS.

I have indeed contacted Strathclyde Police and I'm actually waiting for a
call from someone in Edinburgh. So things are far from resolved.

This matter could have been resolved immediately by Mr. Grimshaw. All he
had to do was send me the Original Operating System CD. Indeed I actually
thought that I had this. I did not think for a minute that I had a blank
copy. Everyone knows Barry, if you are selling software on this list, or be

it, along with a computer, you need to provide the original legal CD, and
not a copy. What would stop someone from selling the same product again
and again.

So yes Barry, I'm still far from happy and very disappointed with the
management team of this list for not supporting or assisting me. As soon as

you were told that I was going to contact the authorities and mentioned
fraud, you all freaked in fear of a court action, and indeed proposed that
both James and I be suspended from the list until the matter had been
resolved.

So you don't really care about us the members, you are only concerned about
yourselves and I no longer wish to be associated with this or the Access UK
list.

Concerning the latter, as this subject was discussed on the Access.UK list,
I have sent a copy of this message to that list also, before the members are

told of some miraculous resolution.

Andy Logue.
