If you use the recovery disks it'll re-format your hard disk then reinstall 
everything the way it was when you bought the computer, I don't think this 
is waht you wanted to do.

Thanks Chris, that's what I was groping for, Recovery Disk.

So this should do it for me? I should be able to get System Restore back
without loosing anything else?
