Hi Jim,

In addition to John's suggested solution, you can also do this within Windows 7:

1. Press the Windows key and type 'system' (without the quotations) in the
search box;

2. Arrow down the list and choose 'system configuration' and press enter;

3. In the dialog box that appears, shift tab once to go to the tabs and arrow
right until you get to 'startup';

4. Tab once to the list of programmes and uncheck the one that needs to be
disabled;

5. Tab to 'Apply' and then to 'OK' and then uninstall the programme.

John.

Subject: [access-uk] Removing a program from startup

Hi,

I have a program that i wish to remove, but it says it is running and can’t be
uninstalled until it is disabled. However, it’s in startup and I can’t stop it
from loading on bootup, how do I solve this problem so I can uninstall it.
Running win7 with jaws12.

Thanks for any help in advance.
Jim
