Ian and Steve, yes I signed up this afternoon, and it does appear to work like
a charm!

Hi Ian,
I agree, EasyReader is a fantastic step to reading talking books, it’s as good
as the Audible process I’d say.
All the best

In iOS, the whole process works really well. It’s only with larger books that
there is a problem. It’s akin to going to a library and borrowing a book only
to find that a chunk of it is missing. I know that there are ways of getting
the full book on to an iPhone or iPad. However, i also know that for many
people, these steps would be steps too far. For these people, reading a book
such as David Copperfield or Middlemarch would be impossible. I can only hope
that a resolution to this large book problem will be found sooner rather than
later.

Hi Ian,
With the Android version too, I get stuck on Loading, and it never loads a
book. I am a beta tester though, so am in touch with Dolphin, so it is not
really a ready product yet.
All the best

Hi Paul and everyone
I think people need to be aware that there is a pretty major problem with the
new version of Dolphin Easy Reader. If the downloaded book would have been on
more than 1 disc, you cannot access the whole book. I have just downloaded The
Complete Short Stories Of Roald Dahl and I can only access disc 2. This mirrors
what happens with voice Dream Reader. The search and download worked fine and
were very straightforward. Is this a known problem or is there something I can
do to access the whole book?

Hi Paul,
Thanks for this. I have Emailed Dolphin, because a paragraph that you put
caught my eye. You said:-
The iOS version has added navigation through the rotor. You can move by 15
seconds, 2 minutes, 5 minutes or by heading.
But I noticed that the Android version doesn’t use Talkback actions in the same
way. So I am on their tail.
Thanks for this.
All the best
Steve

We are delighted to announce that a new version of Dolphin EasyReader is
available to download from your app store.
This includes access to RNIB Reading Services Online Library.
If you haven’t already registered for RNIB Reading Services please do so
outside the app at https://readingservices.rnib.org.uk
From within EasyReader choose RNIB Reading services from the manage libraries
section and sign in with your username and password.
You can then search for a book, download it and listen on your device.
The iOS version has added navigation through the rotor. You can move by 15
seconds, 2 minutes, 5 minutes or by heading.
Currently the “my reading lists” option isn’t available. You can search by
author, title etc. view the latest additions and browse by category. We are
working with Dolphin to improve the functionality of EasyReader and RNIB
Reading services.
Thanks to Dolphin for making access to Reading services possible.
If anyone has questions or feedback please email
