Sharon, I forgot to advise, make use of the scrub facility in GW, this allows you to hear sound as you move arrows / markers around in the file, as by default, the scrub is not set and marker / arrow movements will be silent. I find this speeds up editting by about 75% or more. To set the scrub, go into play properties (f11) it is the first tab, then tab past the wind forward and wind back settings, you will then see an edit box by default this shows 0.000 here, set a value - I have mine set to 0.150 meaning for every movement, I hear fifteen hundredths of a second's worth of sound. There is a nack to using it, basically, the start marker needs to be moved right up to the beginning of the piece on which you need to work, the finish marker needs to be moved to immediately follow the end of the area on which you requite to work. Therefore, if you are, say, removing a lip smack or a mouth click, when you move the markers you will hear much more than the item you need removing. In this situation, I find setting the plays play1=all, play2=selection play3=view of great used, therefore, pressing play2 (f3) plays what is between the markers, i.e the click or lip smack. It's very easy to do but not for me explaining it. ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
