Hi Clive

You could consider the Powertel cordless phone which costs around the £90
mark from RNIB? It speaks the caller ID and menus, and allows you to have
up to four compatible handsets linked to it which they sell separately. I
know there are other cheaper models out there, but some features won't be
accessible unfortunately.

Hello all,

Does anyone have any ideas? I am looking to replace our landline phones. We have a pair of them, one upstairs one down. Each consists of a base unit and
a removable handset. Are there any phones out there that would give us a
similar arrangement, but with either talking menus and/or talking caller ID
displays, but which wouldn't cost ten times as much as a sighted person
would pay to have caller ID and look at the numbers of recent callers and
choose which ones to ring back? Probably asking for the moon here, but our
old, not-really-fully-accessible phones have just about had it.

Best,

Clive
