Hi,

You are correct, it is not easy to do server side rule processing with
an IMAP account - you need co-operation with the server, and need some
way of telling the IMAP server the rules. Some Webmail implementations
allow you to do this, but most don't.

Andrew.

Hi Steve,

Ok, so with your imap account do you manage your mail with
rules/folders?=20
If so, then when you're reading it with a phone/PDA can you choose to
look=20
at e-mail from a particular folder? My main worry is I get so much
e-mail=20
which I manage with rules/folders in OE but am wondering if I read it
using=20
a phone, with an imap account, will I be able to choose to read
particular=20
e-mail like I do in OE or will I have to trudge through it all, lists
and=20
all?

Catherine
