Hi
Have you tried using the add hardware wizard in the control panel? It will do
a search and ask you if the hardware is already connected. If so then you can
choose from a list of devices and hopefully it should find the card reader and
install the relevant drivers.

That's the thing, the readers still not working after a couple of re-boots.
They don't appear on My Computer list of drivers nor on the list of devices in
the Devices Manager dialog. Inserting an SD card in the readers didn't even
trigger the readers to work.

Have you checked to see if the readers now work. They may well have
automatically re-installed when you did the re-boot.

Hi everyone,
For a stupid reason of me, I clicked on safely remove hardware for my
desktop's built in memory card reader. So now the memory card reader isn't
showing on my computer. Inserting an SD card in it didn't help nor restarting
my computer. So how can I get the memory card reader to work again please? I
really do hope that I don't have to physically uninstall and reinstall the
cards reader for my computer to recognise it. Any help please!
