Hi Barry.

I had great difficulty also when I was at university regarding getting books from the RNIB. However, that was 15 years ago. I'd have thought that technology would have made things a little easier for vip students. Also, I spent over an hour last night searching through the RNIB's web site trying to get some information regarding books for further or higher education and could find nothing. You can see how high a priority the RNIB place on education. It is little wonder that so many vip people of working age are unemployed. You'd have thought that such a service would be right up there on the front page of their site.

Best wishes.
Andy

Hmmm, I finished a 4-year counselling course a couple of years ago. It was extremely difficult to find out what they had. Interesting concept, a library that doesn't really want the readerws to know what titles they hold!

Hi Dave.

Thanks for that, but I don't think that my friend has got a course reading list as yet. I was trying to be a bit pro-active and make up a list of books that may be available via the RNIB. Best wishes. Andy.

Hi,

I suspect the best thing to do is for your friend to contact them direct by sending in the book list and requesting to know which they have, or for the uni to do it. You can't have an up to date list that you can distribute over the web as they're always adding new books. I'm not sure they send out lists like that any more either, though I could be wrong.

Cheers
