I am not sure that I can be particularly helpful but can agree that the
search algorithm is still a complete mess on the site.
The so called quick search area in which you can according to the label
enter Title, Author or ISBN only works in reality, in my experience, for
Title search for several weeks now.
So just now to test if this has changed at all I just went to the quick
search edit field and typed in Christie.
The RNIB site then reported to me that it has no search results despite
possessing loads of Agatha Christie novels.
In the past even using the advanced search is confusing as the Advanced
Search would not let me search unless I had something in the Quick Search
field as well.
So the method I find which works is to put your search entry into the quick
search field, then open up the advanced search and repeat this entry into
whatever field you need.
So just now I finally got the site to admit it had Agatha Christie books as
I had Christie in both the Quick Search and Author search fields under the
advanced section.
You could try replicating this method with your searches to see if it
solidifies the results. That is put the Title in both the Quick search areas
and the advance title areas.

Hi all,
I am just wondering if anyone could help with the following search function
of the reading services.
1. If I do a title search, the search results include some other titles
which have nothing to do with the original search terms, and exclude some of
the titles which has the original terms.
2. If I do advance search without specifying any terms, and, carry-out
the search to see all titles under certain categories, the result only
displays about the first 500 titles and excludes the rest. How could I see
the rest of the titles without further search terms?
