Unfortunately I had to return it and give it up as a bad job. To cut a very
long story short, it was taking too long for the replacement to be tested.
I would be very interested to hear how your step-son gets on with the
mainstream globe and how accessible it might be once Santa has delivered it!

We have just purchased an interactive globe of the world for my stepson and
this caused me to wonder if Jackie ever got her RNIB globe to work. I think
the last thing I remember was that it was being returned. Did the story
have a happy ending or was the globe given up as a bad job? I should perhaps
point out that the globe we have ordered is a mainstream product, but I will
be interested to have a look at it myself. The price is comparable with the
RNIB globe. Of course, I won't be able to examine it until after Santa
Claus drops it down our chimney!
