Does it lock open? I have another folding one, but I don't like it because it
doesn't lock, so if you try to use it on your lap, it folds in on itself.

It folds, is fairly easy to type on, and is fairly strong. Keyboard
preferences are very subjective, so to recommend one for someone else is always
an iffy proposition, but Amazon does have good return policies.

Thanks for the reply. I suppose I'm looking for something which will fold up
to about the same size as the phone, is easy to touch type on and is reasonably

There are many Bluetooth keyboards out there, and it really depends on what
size you want.
As for Word Processing, try Google Docs.

I'm in the market for a portable keyboard to use with my android phone. If
anyone knows of a simple word processor app that creates documents compatible
with MS word to be used with the keyboard that would also be very useful. My
experiments with notetakers have not been particularly successful so far.
