Hi Adrien
I have just upgraded my two laptops from W7 to W10, and have enabled printer
sharing on both. It only remains for me to upgrade my desktop PC the same way,
but am not looking forward to this one bit as it is the machine I use the most!
To be honest, Windows 10 is not bad once you get past the thought of doing it
without sight, and then having to faff about with all your settings and
security updates.
Kind Regards,
Jackie Brown

hi adrien.
yes, printer sharings still possible in windows 10. turn on file and printer
sharing, enable username and password authentication then share your printer
from the printers section of devices and printers. in terms of keyboard
shortcuts, you could try:

cheers,

Hi Mo
Ok I realised it would be simple or so so, but with windows 10 I have a lot to
learn. I need to share my printer, it is not wifi. I do have another one but it
has stopped working.
Thanks for the help with the list view. Is there a handy list of shortcuts
please?
Regards
Adrien

Hi adrien.
It doesn't matter whether you use a wired connection or wireless connection.
Networking should work fine if you choose the appropriate options. In its most
basic form, you have to set both machines to use username and password
authentication to link to each other, then specify the folders you want shared.
Both machines would also have to be in the same work group. I would be more
than happy to lend a hand, though it could take up to an hour or possibly more
to get things up and running.
Finally, when in any folder to get it in to list view, press control alt and
the number 6. To get it in to detailed view which may be better, try control
alt and the number 5.
Cheers,
Mo.

Hi
I have a couple of questions and would like some help. I would like to network
my laptop and desktop, they are both now on windows 10. My tech guy had trouble
doing it directly with wifi, is there a way I can do it with a long Ethernet
cable or via my bt router?
Also, how do I arrange items in a folder such as computer where my drives are
in a list and not in columns, I have had a good look but can’t work it out.
Many thanks.

Adrien
