Ok thanks for this, as my network uses sfr which is
vodafone, that could well be the case. Strange that my
friend received the first message ok though.

Contact your provider and check that your messages are not
being blocked. I
think Voda have this turned on as default, and you contact
them to request
it be unblocked so you can send stuff around the world.

I apologise, I am not sure where to ask this question. I am
sending text
messages to a few friends in america, they got the first
message and replied
to me but when ever I send a message now, they are not being
received, could
my phone provider be blocking them or what other reason
could there be for
