Hi Eleanor Sorry to hear this, I hope you weren't hurt? Ok thanks for the tips. Sorry colours mean nothing to me but I'll find my way around it. The clear key is above it, smaller and a yellow colour. Until I got used to it, I used to let the shop assistant press the Enter button. I really do not think people that close to you, helpers or shop assistants will be unkind regarding your pin, not like people who set out to mug one, like myself, an easy target walking with a guide dog in an area where there were no people. Certainly and thankfully nobody, not even my mugger even attempted to use any of my cards. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carol Pearson" <carol.pearson29@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, July 12, 2012 6:31 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Questions about chip and pin > Make sure, before you start, you know where the "Enter" is, then > there's no way you have to ask for help while you're entering the > number and sending it off. > > If you can manage to enter the numbers, I suggest you place one hand > over the top of your fingers with which you're putting in the numbers. > In this way, people can't really see what numbers you're entering. > > Carol P > ---- Original Message ---- > From: "Adrien Collins" <adriencollins22160@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > To: "'access uk'" <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Wednesday, July 11, 2012 5:06 PM > Subject: [access-uk] Questions about chip and pin > >> Hi >> >> I am going on holiday next fortnight, I will be with carers, I will >> obviously need money and will have to pay for things in shops, I am >> in a wheelchair and normally get help from mum who goes with me but I >> will be with strangers, what is the best way to use the chip and pin >> in shops and banks? >> MY BANKS cards used to be chip and sign. >> >> Regards >> >> Adrien >> >> >> >> ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following >> link:- >> ** >> [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] >> ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: >> ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >> ** and in the Subject line type >> ** unsubscribe >> ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the >> ** immediately-following link:- >> ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] >> ** or send a message, to >> ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq > > ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- > ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] > ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: > ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > ** and in the Subject line type > ** unsubscribe > ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the > ** immediately-following link:- > ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] > ** or send a message, to > ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq > ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
