Hi John,
Fine, I bought mine last year and it works as you describe on both an older
standard sky box and with some delay on the sky plus HD box. I mention
upgrade because last year there was talk of an upgrade by Autumn 2011, which
never happened, at least not in regards spoken features. I particularly
wanted to be able to retrieve recorded material, for which it is no help.
When you see how nice the TVonics dtr recorder is regarding accessing the
library for recorded material, it is a pity Sky have no further
development.
Kind regards
Aedan.

Hi Aedan,

I am not sure what, exactly, you mean by an upgrade.
I tried the Sky Talker on my very old existing unit, it did not work.

I needed to have a new Sky HD box installed with a new Sky Talker.

I then got the results I described.

Hi John,
I am using the Talker on Sky HD Plus with the same result. Is your one an
upgrade?
Aedan.

Subject: [access-uk] Question on Sky Talker

Hello all,

I have, at last, got a Sky Talker unit suitable for an HD box.

I find that if I go up or down the stations or key in a channel number
directly then speech is produced.

If I try to go into either the Sky Guide or Recorded material all I get is
"No Audio Description Available".

Is this standard behaviour?

Thanks.
