1. Press insert and figure 6 on the main QWERTY keyboard to bring up the jaws configuration manager.
2. Press control shift D to invoke the default configuration file.
3. Press ALT+S for Set Options, followed by B for Braille options.
4. TAB once to the check box entitled "Grade 2 enable translator", and press the space bar to check this check box.
5. Press enter to dismiss the dialogue box.
6. Press control+S to save the file.
7. Press ALT+F4 to close the configuration manager.

Subject: [access-uk] Question on Power Braille40

I am asking this question on behalf of someone who does not have access to the internet.

This Lady wishes to know how to set up her power braille40 so that it appears as
grade 2 braille when her computer boots up, her OS is office XP pro 2003 and jaws 6. She can switch to grade 2 braille temporarily but when she reboots the PC, the Power Braille40 has reverted back to grade 1 braille. Can someone supply the necessary keystrokes please?

Many thanks.

Matty.
