I don't think this is true because I can order something right from within the Amazon app but not the QVC at least the iPhone app. I have already contacted them regarding accessibility of the iPad app so we see what happens.

Hi Christopher yes I use qvc but I have never downloaded the ap so I can't tell you what it is like. I don't think you canh order from the amazon app on your phone but you can put it on your wish list and then order it when you get home. This may apply to qvc. The reason for it is that they have to pay apple some money for people using their ap and so they let you pick an item but order it later. sorry for waffling Janet -----Original Message----- From: Christopher Hallsworth Sent: Tuesday, August 26, 2014 4:47 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] QVC Hi all Does anyone use QVC, at least the UK site located at www.qvcuk.com? It's pretty good isn't it? The iPhone app looks to be accessible but it appears you cannot place an order without calling them first. Well I don't like doing that in case I can't hear the person at the other end well enough. The iPad app leaves a lot to be desired in terms of accessibility so I may try to contact them online about this. But the site I'm heavily using at the moment for pre-christmas purchases and all were successful. This is using Firefox and NVDA.
