Hi Carol.

Pure Move replacement batteries can be bought off EBay for around 20 quid, however it means opening up the unit and you really need someone who knows what they're doing in order to replace it successfully. Officially though, the pack is non user replaceable and has to be serviced by pure digital directly for a cost of I think around £50 including the new battery pack. If your unit is still under guarantee, you might try claiming that the battery was of substandard quality due in part to the long shelf life the radio had before you bought it, though whether you'll be successful I don't know.

All the best, happy new year to you and good luck.

Subject: [access-uk] Pure Move Replacement Battery

Hi all,

I was very disappointed to discover that my Pure Move digital radio didn't charge up when I'd only had it for a little over a year. The charger is still getting warm and I can use it when plugged in so can't think that it's anything other than the fact the battery is no longer charging.

Has anyone had theirs replaced yet and where did you get it done? I'd also be interested in the sort of money that you needed to pay for this.

I am very disappointed it has gone so quickly and do wonder how long it sat on the shelf before I bought it ...
