Hi listers,

I have problems sending requests to Yahoo accounts from NTLWorld, but no
difficulty from Gmail. This has been going on for ages. I just take the easy
option since Yahoo seem very difficult to contact.

Cheers,

Mike

Hello Clive P,

do you know whether either accounts is bouncing? if it is, you could
unbounce it yourself, or get one of the owners/moderators of a list
you belong to to see if they can release it. Is it possible that a
Yahoo! mailbox is full?

Often a Yahoogroups address bounces when messages from groups are
returned undeliverable. After a while, their system resets the account
to "bouncing", which means: "It's a waste of time posting on to this
address, so why bother?"

Best,
Clive

Subject: [access-uk] Problems with email groups on Yahoo

Hello everyone,

I am having problems with my Yahoo account and cannot receive messages
from e-mail groups. Every time I try to join a group I am told my Yahoo
e-mail address will be used for messages and my home e-mail address is
disabled.
this means I cannot use this address to subscribe to a group through
e-mail.
I don't use web mail for e-mails and wish to use my home address in the
same way as for all lists on Free lists such as this one. Has anyone
else had this problem and, if so, what can I do? Your help most
appreciated. thanks in advance.

Best wishes,

Clive Pallett
