Hello Kevin.Yes, you may well be able to recover your programs from your Box. First, i would try the box with a new HDMI lead, you can get them for a few quid off ebay and amazon or a new scartt lead, again available for a few quid from both places. failing that, you could send the box either to me, or to possibly to pulse eight though i don't think they offer a recovery service. i could recover the programs for you assuming of course that the hard drive hasn't suffered damage to the point where it can't be read from, and even replace the box if necessary. Please get in touch directly off list if you wish,
mobeeniqbal@xxxxxxxxx is where you'll find me. i hope this is of some help. Mo. On 10/23/2013 23:28, Kevin Cussick wrote:
Hi all,I was hoovering behind my chest of drawers last night, I usually get some help to pull them out as I have a problem back and there are loads of stuff on top of them one of these things is my free view box, anyway to cut to the chase I had a bit of an accident, I dropped the box it fell from the chest of drawers onto the floor, it is lighting up and the channels are showing but the telly is not seeing the box, I am told there is a little red dot now on the screen. I don't know if the HDMI socket has been damaged from the telly as it stayed in the box when it fell but got pulled out of the TV. any ideas folks, can this be fixed or do I now need a new box thanks. and is there any way of getting all the programs from the drive if I have broke this unit. thanks in advance.** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
