Steve
Thank you. That works. One other problem is that the socket/cable connection
seems to be loose. Even when pushed fully in the computer emits the error
sound on slight touches of the connecter.

and how to fix
Hi Peter,
Plug your phone into the computer, then pull down the notifications.
You should see Android System USB Charging or something like that. Tap it,
then select File Transfer.
You have to do this every time you plug in the device.
My Pixel works fine with Windows 7, so it's just a question of you finding
the notification.
All the best
Steve

Subject: [access-uk] Problems with Pixel being recognised by Windows 7 and
how to fix
Have checked on web and others seem to have experienced a difficulty. Have
pasted a forum address below. For others to verify if so wish.
My question is this relative to step 5: "Go to your phone, switch to "USB
Charging Mode" and then switch back to "File Transfer (MTP)" How do you
switch between these modes on the Pixel please?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Peter
