Hi Ali

When you enter on the details of the book once you've found the one you wish
to download, enter on the Download link.  You may or may not get the pending
download message, I've noticed this is a bit hit and miss.  But wait a
minute or two, then press the Download link again, and the book should start
downloading.  If it doesn't, I'm not sure why, but this is now the way
Martin and I go through the process which cuts out a load of faffing around.

Kind regards,

Jackie Brown

Jackie,
For me, the download link puts the book in the pending download section,
but, from there, nothing happens. It says download pending nothing else.

Thank you
Ali

Hi Pele

This is correct, F5 doesn't work for me either.  Nor does just clicking the
Download link once and leaving it.  As Iain says, I just don't see why you
can't click a Download link and have the book land in your Downloads folder
when it's completed the process.  Why do you have to go through the
rigmarole of going to Account, then Pending Downloads, only to find the book
isn't there?  Least it isn't there for me, I think my method works best for
us, but I can't speak for everybody else.

It would be really helpful and interesting for someone from RNIB to explain
the background process to help me at least understand why it's a tedious
process.  I have concerns for those who aren't used to downloading for
whatever reason, it's such a messy procedure to be honest.

Kind regards,

Jackie Brown

Hi Steve

Not Jackie, but I tried pressing F5 a number of imes and it made no
difference.

I think when the book is zipped up the title contains a number relating to
the person downloading it. This is why the book has to be zipped every time
it is requested. This is only a theory, so I could be wrong.
