Hello,

I'd be grateful for any advice on resolving this.

I've tried to update my Windows XP system from SP2 to SP3 today. The
install fails close to the end with a message "not enough storage space to
process this command" and shortly later with the message that the service
pack was only partially installed and my computer may not work correctly.
Sure enough, I've lost internet access to all but local network devices, yet
messenger works fine.

I tried looking at this page:
http://forums.techarena.in/windows-update/970543.htm

But it wasn't much help. I am running a stripped down version of XP, but
this has never caused problems with previous service packs, and I did an
update to Office using Office Update online just this afternoon.

Oh, and I have 17GB free space on the drive which is apparently more than
enough.

Any help much appreciated.
