Hi Peter,

You probably need to repair your SAPI5 installation. Firstly, make sure you have the Windows XP CD to hand, as you may need it. Now do the following:-

1. Go to the run menu with Windows+R and type "c:\windows\inf" without the
quotes.

2. In that folder, select the file sapi5.inf, but don't press enter on it.

3. Press your applications key or right click it with the mouse, and select
install.

At this point, you may be asked for your XP CD, if so, stick it in. Whether
you are or not asked, complete the process, reboot the machine, and your
voices should work.

All the best

Steve

I have all the scan soft voices installed on this machine but the only one I

can now use is Danniel. All of thevoices are showing in the window-eyes
list of syntasisers and also in a program called VIP communucator, but if I
select one of them it doesn't work. None of the voices however other than
Danniel show up in the sounds ad audio devices in the windows control panel.
