Right, that eliminates it being a problem with your browser. In that case my guess would be a glitch in the way AOL is caching the site. But if you do want to check your hosts file, Windows buries it at c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts, usually as a hidden file.

I didn't do the comparison, but I got a request timed out when I pinged the former.

What happens when you ping the host?

Open command prompt and type:

ping www.derbyshire.gov.uk

and press enter.

Compare with the output of (say):

ping www.yahoo.com

Hi Chris,

Using IE6 I clicked on the link in your Email and got the same result.
Suggest you have a look at the link you quoted, there are two k's in the
address.

Regards.

Matty.

Subject: [access-uk] Problem with Website

Hi all,
I seem to have a strange problem when trying to visit
www.derbyshire.gov.ukk. What happens is that none of the browsers I've
tried, Firefox and IE7, will load the page, instead I get the usual server
not found/Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage error message. Can
anyone duplicate this please? Thanks!
