It is a case of getting the right channel and that is visual. I think if you get your dad to explain it again and then if you know which button to press and how many times to press it and practice while he is with you. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hannah Day" <hannahday2009@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Subject: [access-uk] Problem with Tvonics and external DVD player, can you duplicate?

Good evening all.
This may be a long one, so advanced apologies for this.
I have a four year old TV with integrated freeview and DVD player,
these features I do not use. In fact, the integrated DVD player
stopped working recently, hence me having an external DVD player by
Sony.
The TV is connected, via HDMI, to the Tvonics, while the DVD player is
connected via scart.
Now when I want to watch a DVD, all is well. The Tvonics switches off
and my DVD starts playing.
However when I want to return to the Tvonics, I get absolutely no
sound at all from the TV. This is even with the DVD off. No speech or
anything. I don't even know if the Tvonics is on or not, as the only
thing I can hear is the box whirring.
My father did show me how to return to the Tvonics, but somewhere
along the way it's just not working for me.
Can anyone with this setup duplicate this, and if so should I contact
Rnib to make them aware and seek advice.
I am in a situation now where I feel like going back to the Goodmans,
as the same setup works a treat!
Thank you so much. Any responses greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Hannah.
