If the problem has started to occur recently it may be to do with a recent
update or new software installed that runs in your system tray.
Occasiionally an application runnning in the system tray may cause K1000 to
loose focus whilst it is reading and therefore when the using hits control
or start/stop reading key to stop speech they have no control over the
application.

An alternative line of thought may be around the scanner, some non-Epson
scanners will produce an interface during the scanning operation that causes
K1000 to loose focus. Can you let us know which scanner you have.

Hi all,

I am using Kurzweil version 9.03. Please can someone tell me why, after
Kurzweil had scanned the page, and started reading it, no matter what I did
I could not get Kurzweil, to stop reading the scanned page. Thanks in
advance for any help.

All the best
Petrina,
