perhaps it might be helpful if you could try your program out on a Mac.

Hi Annabel, Ian and all,
Although I don't have a solution for Mac users, I have developed a piece of
software called "VTS Label Printer" for Windows. It is an application that
allows users to print addresses on to labels, as well as print "Articles for
the blind" and "Free matter for the blind" headers with the appropriate
details required for it to be sent through the mail via articles/free matter
for the blind.
You can find out more information at https://www.vits.org.uk/products/vtslp/
If you have a Windows machine, you can download the demo and see if it is
suitable for your needs. You could then purchase a copy and use the software
with a printer to print on labels. I am currently developing the application
to directly print onto envelopes and I am currently taking feedback from
users about what else they would want in the in the next release.
Unfortunately, I can't develop the application for the Mac, as the Mac
doesn't support the .Net framework, which is a framework my application uses
to interact with printers, windows, dialog boxes and so on. Unless someone on
list can help me try and port the application to Mac, I don't think I will be
able to bring it to the Mac without developing an entirely new application
that is cross platform compatible. If there is a big demand from Mac and
Linux users then I may develop an entirely new program in a completely new
language. However, as you can appreciate, a new programming language can take
some time to get to grips with and development can take even longer. Also,
the language and it's libraries may not have the functionalities I want to
use to print onto labels, display dialog boxes etc.
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
All the best,
Omar.

Can anyone give me information about how to print labels or envelopes
from a MacBook. I’ve tried a printer but the paper and envelope sizes
listed on it and those on my MacBook do not relate to one another, besides
which the printer is inaccessible to me. Maybe a dymo label printer is the
way to go?
If anyone is doing this reliably, I would be extremely grateful for some
help as I hate having to ask people to address my mail for me!
Many thanks, Annabel.
Sent from my MacBook Air.
