Thanks Jackie that is excellent. I am sure they will. I just said about the advertising as I was asking a price. Will make some enquiries perhaps tomorrow. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jackie Cairns" <jackie.cairnsplace@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Eleanor Firstly, it isn't advertising, I've had this printer of mine for about six years. I'm sure you could get an equivalent in PC World, where I got itfrom, for a lot less than I paid then. I like it simply because I can put aream of 500 sheets in the large drawer, and then use the smaller tray for envelopes and labels. Secondly, in Word, I simply type the address where the item is going to.Then I centre it. Then I print it, that's it. The address doesn't go overthe Articles For The Blind bit, maybe more by luck than judgment, but thishas always worked for me for many years, even with my previous Brother laserprinter. I hope this info helps. But go down to PC World and have a look at what they offer, and ask for a printer that has two trays in it so you have a dedicated envelopes and labels section. I need a new one and was asking a question earlier re printers. This is the very tyjpe of information I required. Now can you tell me is your printer one that is still readily available and is it very expensive. In case this is viewed as advertising maybe you would e-mail me off list please. Now I am unclear what you are saying about centering for the label. You say you go in to Word and then you write your address and then you centre it. Do you mean you simply centre from the top of the jpage or further down the page. You are sayingthen that all that sender thing on the lerft side of the label is untouchedand you are not writing over anything?----- Original Message ----- From: "Jackie Cairns" <jackie.cairnsplace@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, December 12, 2009 9:19 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Printing AFB LabelsHi Roger What printer are you using? I've got a Samsung ML2150 laser. It has two trays, the large drawer for A4 paper, and a smaller one I use for envelopes and labels such as the AFB type. When I want to print one of the latter, I go into Word, type my address, and centre it. Then I put an AFB label into the smaller of the two printing trays, face up. When it comes out, the text is printed on the label in the correct place, because I can feel the print with my fingers. On the smaller tray of the two, there are two guides for adjusting the width of the envelope or label size you want to insert. I don't know if this is any help, but it's always worked for me. I wasn't aware my printer was capable of doing them before. I'm finding it a little fiddly to get the details right. If anyone is alsoprinting them could they give me the settings of their machine to save thewaste of misprinting them please.
