Hi Steve, Jeff et al

My printer model number is Brother MFCL2700DW.  It is a mono laser which can
be connected via USB, ethernet or wirelessly.  It prints 26 pages per
minute, and has a document feeder.  It also has a 250-sheet A4 tray, and a
separate slot for envelopes and labels.  It is quite a chunky babe, but I
love it to bits.  You can install the Brother software suite, and I find
that now I've networked it, I can just enter on the printer in Network and
bring up its control panel which is accessible.  The controls are all
tactile as well.  I have it working perfectly with K1000, Open Book, and the
JAWS OCR facility in the latest 2018 release.  I have also managed to use
the app, though not in great depth.

To be honest, setup is pretty straightforward, it must have been for me to
do it and network it myself! (smile.)  I have it sitting on a plynth our
joiner made to fit at the end of my desk so that it isn't right on the
floor, and I am able to wheel my computer chair round to use it without
bending too much.  I can't recommend it highly enough, it's fab! I bought
mine from Amazon for I think £150 that included a toner which was easy to
slot in.

Kind regards,

Jackie Brown

Hi Jackie,

Could you tell us the model number please?  I'm interested in this market
too.

Also, how many sheets does the sheet feeder hold?

Thanks.

All the best

Steve

Hi Phil

I have a Brother laser all-in-one which cost about £150, but it depends what
else you want it to do, and whether you prefer colour or inkjet to laser
toner.  My printer lets me scan documents, print, fax, copy, and it's
accessible.  In fact, I would go so far as to say it was one of my top
purchases of 2017.

Hi

Looking for recommendations for combined printer scanner please. I believe
certain inks are cheaper with certain brands.

Phil
