You will need to add it, but if you don't know which model it is, that
could be tricky.

Is it connected via a USB cable? Usually these days a message will
pop up when connected to the effect that new hardware has been found.

Subject: [access-uk] Printer queery

My HP840 has packed up, so I was given an Epsom printer which I don't
know the model number at the moment. I connected it up and it seemed
ok but doesn't appear in the list of printers in the printers and
faxes menu of the control panel. I tried to print out a page, but it
just came out blank I was informed.
