I am sorry if my original response seemed flippant, it was really meant to be advisory. My point is that if you run a microsoft operating system with all it's inherent security flaws there is nothing you can do to guarantee no more malware.these reason Apple operating systems have not been *popular* was for a long time a matter of cost for the sighted, apple being then a more expensive option, and the non availability of a truly accessible screen reader for the visually impaired. That's noto say that there wasn't a speech outpur available but it just wasn't up to the job. Tiger and Leopard version of OS10 for the mac has changed all that big time.So in a nutshell, if you are contemplating a change of machine, its time to bring apple in to the equation when making your mind up, don't forget the screen reader is built in so there's no extra to pay and the little comes out of the box talking it's little heart out so if you are blind or sighted you are confronted with voic over as soon as you switch it on and the braille interface is there too.I do not work for apple or have shares in the company, I just love this mac book!Cheers G From glorious Devon, England.
