Hi,

Although I did not know her, you do not have to know a murder victim
to know that murder is a disgusting and cowardly act that only people
with something seriously off-kilter in their heads would commit. If
only everybody in this world thought the same.
My best wishes for her family going forward from such a tragedy.

All the best,
- James English

 Hi all.

Brian and I did know Jill Grant and I had only very recently
re-established contact with her.
We have some very warm memories of her which I think is very important.

We are totally shocked and horrified
and it is also sickening to know that Jill was not the only woman to be
murdered in this   period. What is wrong with people?

Hi,

Apparently, she died on Christmas day and also the same suspect is being
questioned about an arson attack too.

How awful.

I only knew her as a customer, but she was a very nice lady.

All the best

Steve

I didn't know this lady but it is still really shocking.
Thanks for alerting us.

Subject: [access-uk] Posting for information only! Sad news regarding one
of our list members

Good evening everyone

It  is with very sad news and a heavy heart that I announce that one of our
list members Gillian Grant has been murdered. A copy of the information
provided by Northumbria police is provided below, also a link to a Facebook
post regarding this for anyone requiring/wishing to provide further
information. I knew Gillian slightly from school and maintained   contact
over the intervening years. This is a tragedy and especially at this time
of year. Transcript of police statement follows: Police are continuing to
investigate the murder of a woman in North Tyneside.

Following the search of an address on Tennyson Terrace, North Shields,
yesterday, the body of a female was found.

Following formal identification, police are now in a position to name the
deceased as 38 year old Jillian Grant, of York Court, Wallsend.

Senior investigating officer, DCI Helen Anderson said: "Enquiries to
establish the circumstances around Jillian's death are ongoing and a 41
year old man remains under arrest in connection with the investigation.  We
believe those involved were known to each other. Jillian's family are
currently being supported by specialist liaison officers.

"Police will continue to have a visible presence in the area around the
address to reassure anyone who has any concerns and to carry out their own
enquiries.”, No automatic alt text available.   Image
