Hi Henry,
Why are you hesitant? You can use it alongside Audible Manager, it won’t
affect your legacy program.
All the best
Steve

Hi David
Following your below email, I contacted sight and sound about these scripts.
Tristram tried out the scripts and he has granted me permission to share his
thoughts below:
“
Hi Henry,
I have had a quick go installing and running these scripts in JAWS 2020. The
results are pretty good, certainly enough to be able to do basic tasks with the
app like playing a title you have in your library. I haven't gone into things
in great depth so I am not sure about downloading the book to trransfer into
another player though, but I think cautiously it may work. The only thing I
noted is that these scripts require JAWS 18.0 or later, technically it just
isn't possible to probe the UWP apps with earlier versions of JAWS but
hopefully most on Windows 10 should be OK with that.”
I’m still hesitant about downloading this Windows 10 App for Audible 😊
Best wishes
Henry

I was interested to see that Jaws Scripts for the Windows 10 Audible app have
been developed.
See
http://www.dlee.org/
This may be useful if people are interested in using the Windows 10 Audible app
on a laptop, tablet or even Desktop machine.
This of course does not currently include any option to authorise specialist
players.
However after researching on Audible Help pages I see that it is possible to
specify the download folder for your books.
I have also seen discussions that these are the same format files available
with the legacy Audible Download Manager, making it theoretically possible
then to continue to use your specialist player via Inaudible or I guess Open
Audible interface.
I don’t want to disturb my current working Audible arrangements on Windows 10
but it would perhaps be useful if someone from TAVIP grabbed a spare machine
to install a setup using these scripts to test out their viability.
