Thanks

Trace, change your laptop's behaviour from Power Options in the Control Panel.

Hope that works,

Yes Trace it can be a pain to sort out again when it hybernates but you can sort this out. Now I cannot think how to do it right now but if nobody answers you on this one I will find out for you so just let me know tomorrow if you have not had an answer.

Actually, that reminds me.

When you leave a laptop unattended for a while it partly shuts down I think, hybernates or something, is there any way of stopping it doing this as it can be a total pain to get sorted out again?

Subject: [access-uk] Possible Problem with Sleep Mode

Hi all, I'm running Vista Home Premium and JAWS 9/10. I seem to be having the following problem. When I put my laptop to sleep, all appears to be fine. When I next turn it on, however, it appears it's lost my session as the startup repair appears and I have to press enter for it to boot into Windows. Why is this happening? Could it be a conflict with my Trekstor 160 GB external hard drive, which I do switch off by the way when it completely goes to sleep? All help would be greatly appreciated as I fear this is damaging my laptop. Thanks!
