I loved the talking teletext I have to say, but my arial fell down in the wind not so long ago, and as we will be losing analog next year in the Granada north-west region, and I now use Sky, I don't feel like arrangingfor someone to come out and put it back up for me. Because I'm not on diallup any longer, it's just so easy to get to what I want to on the web aswell, so for me personally, I don't think I could justify the newest digitalmodel. I haven't yet got any DVDs, so even if I were to purchase any, I would be looking for a pc solution most probably to access them. Many players will support both, at least nominally. Mind it's a hit and miss affair, and even the superior Mac users I know find some of the DVDs they burn won't play on some DVD players. Its all just one more dreary example of a pointless standards war. Yes basically you insert the DVD, it first establishes whether there is an audio described version of the title and if so it asks you if you want to play tha. No not at all the unit has no picture capabilitys. Any more? For what its worth my take is that if someone is essentially non techyand wants a simple UI to watch and record TV, as well as playing DVD's etc it's fine, however if you need or want to share your viewing experience with sighted people then essentially you can't. And as you say Jackie it's a hell of a lot of money!
