Thanks for your replies.  I will look at both Shoot The Messenger and the
Google toolbar and see how we get on with them.

Hi Caroline,

The one I use, and I am perfectly happy with it, is the Google toolbar.  I
think it is on http://www.toolbar.google.com.  It is easy to configure with
a screen reader, you can let a popup through for one time, or permanently
if you want, and it generally seems to work for me.  And it's free!
