[access-uk] Podcatcher?

Hi everyone,
I've been reading all the posts on Steve Nutts "our place" podcast. It
mentions something on the computer room services website as well as being
mentioned here, called a podcatcher.
Can anyone tell me what this is?
Is it a fancy name for using something like RealPlayer, winamp or Windows Media
Player to download and listen to these podcasts?
I'm clueless as you can tell *smile*.
