Alan, I assume that you are using the term "Podcasting Software" to mean a Podcast Aggregator by means of which you can receive and save the content of Podcasts. The most popular seems to be Ipodder, the latest version of which, although at the RC stage, is an improvement on the earlier versions from an accessibility point of view. I am using it on an XP system with Hal and I know others who are doing so with JFW. I understand though that it cannot be used with Windows 98 or ME. If I am wrong perhaps someone will correct me. A very basic program which will work on 98 is Accessible Podcatcher from www.webbie.org/downloads.htm. With it you can easily add a feed and save the Mp3s manually, but there seems to be a bug which prevents feeds being subscribed permanently and their new content downloaded and saved automatically. If you are new to Podcasts this Accessible Podcatcher might be a good starting point with a Win 98 system. Hope this helps; perhaps others can come up with alternatives. Douglas .
